My dollar tree has reuseable snack bags now. I found them in the baby section in a two pack and rhey have cute little monsters on them. And i use those to pack up my homemade mini bites. Ive also used the just add water pancake mix and a bag of chocolate chips to make these!

Those look like a great option, they fit perfectly in that blender cup. Also, the cost per ounce is similar to buying the larger bags.

Ground turkey is nasty. Turkey is great but ground just has a funky texture.

I meal prep my own smoothies. Chop everything up then I freeze individually in ziplocks that I reuse so it's ready to blend in the morning with coconut water. I've tried so many combinations over the years, but there are 2 that are my favorites that just is so nourishing. My #1: carrots, baby apple, lemon, ginger, chia seeds, and ground flax seeds. #2: celery, cucumber, apple, lemon or pineapple, chia seeds, and ground flaxseeds. I've lowered my cholesterol with these. Cooling for this hot weather too. 🥵 P.S. I've learned that I don't like spinach or blueberries in my smoothies, it ruins the taste and color. I only prefer spinach cooked in an omelette. Lol

I bet if you cook the noodles in the sauce, the starch would thicken the sauce, plus the noodles absorb the broth. 🤤

We grew up eating bean tacos for dinner. If we had Fritos, I'd add some in there for a good crunch. Bean tacos and kool-aid was a typical meal for when money was tight.

Do you have any suggestions for making non-meat budget meals? (Or meat that requires very little prep, as I have an extreme aversion to handling meat) Thanks

Just wet a paper towel and put it over the rice when you reheat it. You can actually do that with almost anything that gets dry when you reheat. I’ve done it with rice, bread and even Mac and cheese.

If anyone watching this video lives near Harrison, AR they have a store called Merc Outlet. They have a lot of great discounted groceries. We are fortunate to have 3 discounted grocery stores in town. They almost always have 2lb pork loins flavored for around $3 each at Merc outlet.

Honestly it feels like a solid amount of food for a single person but I am curious do you drink coffee? Just found your channel so I wasn't sure. Even when I have food for our household going into a new week I often find I still have to make a weekly trip in for milk/soy milk since one of us is lactose intolerant.

The crab cakes were genius. I’ve already put the ingredients on my grocery list. And I can’t remember ever having hot dog buns as a kid. Bread became hot dog buns, hamburger buns, croutons and toast/sandwiches.
